Despite the beautiful premise, it would be a mistake for us to get carried away by a world that was created by one of the three main participants of Serial Experiment Lain, Yoshitoshi ABe. Before continuing, it is necessary to clarify that although there was great influence and spiritual similarity in the works, Haibane renmei was animated by a different study, but this is not an obstacle for most of the followers of both series to consider them sisters, parts of A family of short animation, but full of quality and well-deserved. Where Lain takes us to dark places of the mind while moving in an environment that is lonely until suffocating, Rakka takes us to deep places of the spirit in an environment that is calm and almost paradisiacal but no less suffocating for someone tormented...
Although the first chapters slowly introduce us to the world and its characters as life accounts that some may call boring, we soon realize that not everything is what it seems, both the world and people. At the end of the viewing, one will appreciate taking both the characters and the beautiful messages of friendship, guilt, loss and redemption. Although the animation is not the best in the world, it is more than adequate for what the work and the author wanted to convey to us what makes it enjoyable and enjoyable, especially a scene at the end that seems surprising to me.
As for music, on the other hand, it is a beauty in the ear, where anime falters in animation, it surplus in music. En algún lugar entre el cielo y la tierra hay una ciudad especial, se encuentra rodeada por una enorme muralla y dentro de ella habitan junto con los humanos unas criaturas especiales que tienen una aureola y alas, como si de ángeles se tratara, a estos seres se les llama Haibane.
En el primer capitulo somos testigos del nacimiento de una de estas, Rakka y a través de los capítulos veremos como crece y conoce el pintoresco mundo que le rodea.
A pesar de la premisa tan bella, seria un error de parte de nosotros el dejarnos llevar por un mundo que fue creado por uno de los tres principales participantes de Serial Experiment Lain, Yoshitoshi ABe. Antes de continuar es necesario aclarar que si bien ahi gran influencia y similitud espiritual en las obras, Haibane renmei fue animada por un estudio diferente, pero esto no es obstáculo para que la mayor parte de los seguidores de ambas series las consideren hermanas, partes de una familia de animación corta, pero llena de calidad y bien merecido se lo tiene.
Ahí donde Lain nos lleva a oscuros lugares de la mente mientras se mueve en un ambiente que es solitario hasta sofocar, Rakka nos lleva a lugares profundos del espíritu en un ambiente que es tranquilo y casi paradisíaco pero que no por eso menos sofocante para alguien atormentado...
Si bien los primeros capítulos nos introducen lentamente en el mundo y a sus personajes a manera de recuentos de vida que algunos podrán llamar aburridos, pronto nos damos cuenta que no todo es lo que parece, tanto el mundo como las personas. Al final del visionado uno agradecerá llevarse tanto a los personajes como a los bellos mensajes de amistad, culpa, perdida y redención
Si bien la animación no es la mejor del mundo, si es mas que adecuada para lo que la obra y el autor querían transmitirnos lo que la hace disfrutable y amena, sobretodo una escena al final que me parece sorprendente.
En cuanto a la música por otro lado, es una belleza al oído, ahí donde el anime flaquea en animación, le sobra en música. Si bien tal vez no sobresalga exageradamente como otras obras maestras, su soundtrack es bueno y aun se pueden encontrar diversos cd con canciones basadas en la serie y sus personajes que no aparecen en el anime. Hablando del opening es uno bueno que refleja el espíritu de la serie sobre el pacifico y las relaciones mientras que el ending mas misterioso refleja aquellos secretos que iremos escondiendo con una memorable melodía.
En los personajes tenemos a seis haibanes de las cuales dos son los pilares de la trama desarrollándolas a profundidad y con un realismo pocas veces alcanzado, las otras actúan como personajes medianamente importantes aunque la serie se encarga de darles suficiente desarrollo de manera adecuada y orgánica para que nos parezcan memorables y reales. Si bien no serán los únicos personajes, pues en nuestro descubrimiento de la misteriosa ciudad de Gile, tales como otros haibane, misteriosos intermediarios con el exterior, cuervos y una mención honorifica al vendedor de la tienda, un agradable sujeto.
Si Lain es una violenta pero solitaria melodía proveniente de los distorsionados sintetizadores de Cyberia que nos deja reflexivos ante la fria realidad, Haibane renmei es un solo de violín, melancólico y alegre que nos recuerda hay esperanza, por mas errores que tengamos, existe la posibilidad de redención en nuetras acciones para con los otros.
