Serial Experiment Lain, an animation so experimental that even today has marked a before and after in all the spectators. Rather than being able to talk about all the themes and theories in this paper, I want to emphasize how a tribute to the human mind is, with all its pros and cons, it gives us a hard and depressing history of the excesses that can reach the mind when forgetting the heart. .Serial Experiment Lain, una animación tan experimental que aun hoy a marcado un antes y un después en todos los espectadores. Nadie queda inmune al hipnotizante efecto de los postes, ese sonido estático y las pantallas y cableado. Aunque acusada de aburrida por muchas personas por su ritmo lento y confuso la realidad es que no podemos imaginar un mejor formato para un mensaje tanto social como personal tan profundo, visionario, así como demoledor y esperanzador a la vez.

La historia de la joven Lain, la timida chica de secundaria que empieza meterse poco a poco al infinito mundo del Wired, cambiando a tal grado que ya no puede distinguir no solo la realidad sino a sí misma.

Con esta premisa la serie nos invita a un viaje donde nos formularan preguntas sobre la realidad, la identidad, la divinidad, la tecnología, amistad, etc. Tantos temas en los que mas que darnos una respuesta se nos formula una pregunta que se nos invita a responder como espectadores activos que debemos ser.

Mas que poder hablar de todos los temas y teorías en este escrito, quiero recalcar de como es un tributo a la mente humana, con todos sus pros y sus contras, nos regala una historia dura y depresiva de los excesos a los que puede llegar la mente cuando olvida al corazón. Vi realmente necesario hablar de Lain no solo por su importancia sino para poder introducir a los que yo personalmente veo como su familia. Donde Lain nos habla de la mente, otros 3 animes nos cuentan una historia similar sobre el cuerpo, el espíritu y la sociedad. En otros 3 escritos mas hablaremos de estos.

Por ahora nos quedamos con el que tal vez sea el mas popular de estos, el que nos recuerda constantemente que la extensión de la mente, la tecnología no puede reemplazar aquello que esta tan al frente de nosotros que podemos hasta ignorarlo, el contacto humano, las conexiones humanas.
